This is by far one of my favorite paintings. In best traditions of impressionism, it vividly captures light, color and various tones.
This painting had been painted outside, in front of a playing dog. After observing him for hours, I used a pre-made palette to quickly paint the fleeting effects of light. Bold brush work and alternating light effects successfully capture the happy nature of a dog.

This is DEFINITELY my favourite! Given the meaning of this painting to the artist, it is touching to see it's not for sale.
